Dpowell: Olympics 2012

Hi Shipmates,

It's with great regret that I have to inform you that I have been banned from competing in the Olympic Uckers Competition due to the taking of performance enhancing drugs (steroids).

I have tried but failed miserably to convince the powers that be (Olympic Committee) that I only take them for medicinal purposes to combat a disease (polymyalgia) contracted either in the hot sweaty bars of Mombassa or the damp table-tops down on Boogie St in Singapore.

So if anyone would like to take over as Grand Master of the Uckers Board please let me know ASAP so as to get you into some intensive training and get you lotto sponsership.

Yours with great regret

Taff Powell

Dpowell: clubs

Does anyone have any idea where the clubswinger (aka Mick Buck Taylor) went after the Tartar? Did he join another ship or a shorebase? Or do anyone know of his whereabouts or what part of the country he was from originally? If so please drop us a line.

Any one remember me?  I served on Tartar March 76 - Apr 78 as LS (R).  Have been in touch with a couple of colleagues who have helped in putting names to photographs I have of that period.

I must apologise for the delay in adding the photographs from the last reunion in Scarborough I have managed to download some but have run out of allowable download space hopefully this will be sorted shortly (it's an RP thing)    Keep watching you never know what will happen. Keep an eye out for further information on this years Bournmouth reunion

Keith Burrage: Webmaster

As most of you are aware our guest book has fallen over recently. I was never very happy with it, as the spam trapping was worse than useless like the tech support from the author. I have found a new guest book component as you can see and having tested all its features I'm happy with it. I have retained all the old entries in the database and will enter them in the new book in the fullness of time. Bear in mind that the publish dates for the old entries will reflect the date they were moved and not the date they were originally entered!

When you enter the image verification enter the answer to the sum not the sum itself! (Gunners may need help with this one!)
